Most music charts measure spend: playlist placement, radio adds, marketing budget. DeuxDuel measures one thing — which song you actually picked when the two were side by side and nothing else was on the screen.
Ratings use a Glicko system, the same family of maths that ranks chess players. Beating a highly-rated song moves you further than beating an unknown one, and every rating carries a confidence interval, so nothing is ranked on the strength of a handful of votes. Yes. Every song battle, every category and the full global ranking are free. DeuxDuel Plus is an optional subscription that removes ads and lets you export saved songs to Apple Music.
No. DeuxDuel plays the 30-second previews that are available to everyone. An Apple Music subscription only adds the option to save full songs to your library.
No. There is no correct answer in DeuxDuel and nothing to get wrong. It is a preference game — you are not being tested, you are voting.
